Teamwork - One of Item’s core values is teamwork. Issues are discussed, differing opinions are aired, but when consensus is reached, we work as a team to solve problems and create success.

Business Ethics - Business ethics is the core Item value. We are a very competitive company, but at the same time we enforce a strict policy of the highest ethical standards. This policy is discussed annually with every employee, and managers are required to sign a pledge of adherence to Item’s ethics policy.

Creativity - We are more than just another OEM. We do not always wait for the customer to provide us with a product design. Our engineers are empowered to conceptualize new products and variations on old products for our customers. Our ultimate goal is to delight our customers, and assist them in becoming more competitive in their markets.

Innovation and Invention - As well as striving to create new products, we also spend considerable effort improving all of our core and support processes, even inventing new processes to meet our customers’ needs.

Social Responsibility - Item is committed to working in the Pearl River Delta (PRD), and to raising the quality of life for its workers. Item has taken the lead among companies in the PRD to implement a meaningful worker protection (SA 8000) program. Item has invested in solar heating for its dormitories, raised the quality of the dormitory rooms, and invested in more attractive canteen facilities.

Environmental Responsibility - Item is an environmentally conscious company, and is accredited to ISO 14000. Beyond mere certification, Item is working on a strategy to make it as close to a green cradle-to-cradle company as is possible in the Pearl River Delta.
